Hear and Singharmony™ Recording Method

If you have ever learned a song by singing along with the radio or stereo, you can just as easily learn to sing a harmony part using our Hear and Singharmony™ recordings. Here's how our method works. The harmony part you are trying to learn is recorded prominently (or, in some cases, entirely alone) on the right hand stereo channel. All other musical content is recorded on the left channel.

When first beginning, turn the stereo balance all the way over to the right and hear only (or mainly) the part you want to learn, without the distraction of the other parts. Listen to the harmony part until it becomes familiar, just as you have learned to sing along with the radio or stereo in the past. Gradually, as you master the part, shift the balance over towards the left channel and practice singing along with all the other parts (and accompaniment when applicable). When you have completely mastered harmony part you are learning, shift the balance over completely to the left channel and sing along with the CD, contributing to the total sound.

Hear and Singharmony™ really is "the world's easiest method for learning to sing in harmony™" It is a fast, effective, hands-free, technique that you can combine with many other activities, such as crafts/hobbies, house work, riding in a car, exercising or working at manual tasks. And it makes group rehearsals so much more fun and rewarding, because you can do all of the awkward part of learning a new harmony part in private with your CD. By practicing ahead, you can be prepared to sing your harmony line competently at your very first group rehearsal, leaving all the rehearsal time for working on dynamics and polishing the songs into a memorable group presentation.

If you are a choir director, you will find that Hear and Singharmony™ recordings give you an ideal tool for achieving the very best possible results from your precious group rehearsal time. For example, you can simply direct your choir members to learn the Hallelujah Chorus for the next rehearsal, and singers can master their harmony lines at home, and come to rehearsals prepared to follow your guidance on timing, phrasing and dynamics. With Hear and Singharmony™ recordings, all the time currently consumed in teaching people their parts is completely eliminated, making group rehearsals much more enjoyable and productive for you and your choir members!

Important Notice: In order for Hear and SingharmonyTM recordings to deliver their full value and ease of use, they must be played on stereos that have balance control between the left and right stereo channels.
